The Rotating Intern

The Forensic Division at the Jeffersonian has one crucial problem: they can never find a good enough intern. Every episode has a new intern, which are on a rotating schedule from the connected college. There has been an annoyingly talkative Daisy, Zack who turned into Gormogon's assistant, the Muslim guy who faked an accent, and several other random unique characters. This adds constant humor, because you never know quite who will be next, or whether they will ever find a replacement for Zack (he had a permanent role until Season 3 and the Gormogon Saga).

Angela and Hodgins: Squint Romance

Jack Stanley Hodgins (TJ Thyne) and Angela "Pearly Gates" Montenegro (Michaela Conlin) are my second favorite duo in Bones. They both work on Bones' Forensic team at the Jeffersonian. Angela is a facial reconstruction artist and created a 3D projector that depicts skeletons and attacks, called the Angelator. Hodgins is the slime and bugs guy, who studies the gritty filth left on or near skeletal remains. Angela gives the team the victim; Hodgins gives the team crucial facts to lead towards the attacker.
Angela has a history as a bi-sexual sexaholic while Hodgens just loves to get dirty with Angela. They form a relationship and eventually plan to get married. While at the wedding in "Stargazer in a Puddle" Season 2.21 Finale it is discovered that Angela was already married. Season 3 follows the story as she tries to receive a divorce. Currently, Hodgins and Angela are no longer together, and Angela is on a celibacy(for 6 months so far which she is going crazy over) stint. Both Angela and Hodgins seem to have a lot of sexual tension in Season 5, so hopefully they finally get back together. That would make one audience member happy (me!).

Bones Episodes Online: Our Favorite Couple

Season 5 of Bones seems to be approaching the concept of a relationship between Special Agent Seeley Booth and forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan. After the Season 4 Finale “The End in the Beginning,” Booth fell in love with Brennan through his coma-dream, and so far in Season 5, he fears telling Brennan the truth. His fear is of getting into Bones hard-shell exterior, making her fall in love with him, and then realizing he did not actually love her.

In the episode “The Foot in the Foreclosure,” Booth’s grandfather comes to visit. He creates an emotional bond with Brennan, suggesting continuously she shouldn’t be scared and for Booth to follow his heart. This leaves me wondering if Booth will come out of his emotional closet this season. Will Season 5 of our favorite oddball partnership turn into something more? Maybe we will finally see some open love between Booth and Brennan.

Special Agent Seeley Booth - David Boreanaz

David Boreanaz from Angel plays Special Agent Seeley Booth. He is the emotional side to the forensic anthropology and works with Bones in identifying murders based off of skeletal remains--except his expertise is the ability to read people. It is said in the show that he can read people like a scientist reads charts or Brennan reads bones.
In his past, he was a sniper in the US Army Rangers. With 49 confirmed kills, he has an insane fear of clowns and a penchant for rebelling in subtle ways, like his belt buckle and colorful socks. At first skeptical about Bones and her scienfitic skills, he now views her as the smartest woman he knows and trusts her infinitely. He's often the comedic relief in dark moments, when the scientists spit out jargon concerning skeletal remains but he needs it translated into layman's terms.
After "The End in the Beginning" Season 4.26, he falls in love with Brennan after his comatose dream they were married. So far, he hasn't told her, but who knows what will happen? Maybe we will finally see a romantic relationship blooming between our oddball partnership.

Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan

Dr. Temperance Brennan is the lead forensic anthropologist at the Jeffersonian and possibly the nation, played by Emily Deschanel. She is a novelist, which is shown on Season 4 Episode 26 "The End in the Beginning" when her story becomes the dream of Booth's comatose dreams.
She could be considered dysfunctional and is constantly called a "cold fish," simply because she views the world of human emotions as an outsider. She understands the concepts behind love and social moralities, but she does not feel the need to follow the tradition.
Her parents have a huge crime history. As a child, she was on the run and in hiding with her mother, father, and brother, because her father was a vigilante, killing men justifiably but still considered a criminal and murderer. Her brother followed his footsteps and they both end up in jail in one of the episodes, and are recurring characters throughout Bones. They are the reason that she is so "cold."
I love her character. She isn't afraid to say a relationship is "purely physical" and ended up dating two men at once, one for an intellectual connection and the other for a sexual satisfaction. Her comments are generally blunt and to the point, lacking civilities that drive Booth crazy (he is the only one who can call her "Bones"). Currently, she has no idea that Booth cares for her, but it is foreshadowed that if she did know and let him in, that they're break up would permanently hinder her future.

The cast of Bones is full of humor and unique relationships. Hodgins, far left and played by T.J. Thyne, is the dorky "bugs and slime" guy. He's an analyst for Dr Brennan at the Jeffersonian. Angela, second left, played my Michaela Conlin, is the sexaholic reconstruction worker at the Jeffersonian. Bones and Booth are the center two and need no explanation. Cam, played by Tamara Taylor on Booth's right, is the recent foster mother, head of the Forensic Division at the Jeffersonian as well as Booth's ex-girlfriend. Zack, far right played by Eric Millegan, now only plays small roles in Bones, but was originally Dr Brennan's assistant and later Gormogon's assistant. The cast is wickedly hilarious, full of awkward moments and strange relationships.
